I had a very disappointing experience at Piedmont Physicians of Sandy Springs. I had an appointment scheduled at 1:45 PM, and unfortunately, I arrived at 1:55 PM due to being involved in a car accident on the way. I even showed proof that my car was damaged, but the front desk staff told me that the doctor would not see me because I was late. I understand that offices have schedules, but there should also be understanding and compassion for real-life situations. Accidents happen, and patients are not robotsβ€”we deal with unexpected emergencies. After driving 40 minutes and going through such a stressful situation, I expected at least some flexibility or empathy. Instead, I was simply turned away without any consideration. This experience made me feel very disrespected as a patient. I hope the office can reconsider how they handle situations like this in the future and show more understanding toward patients dealing with emergencies.

I had a wonderful experience returning to the Piedmont Urgent Care at Abernathy and Roswell Road after a year. When I came in, Shaiquayle at the front desk was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Makayla then came out and took me back, and it was great seeing her again from last year. Christopher came into the room next to take my blood pressure and vitalsβ€”he was so cute, incredibly nice, and it was truly fabulous seeing him again. Finally, Tiffany came in to look at my thumb. It was infected but closed up, so thankfully it wasn't too bad. She quickly got me set up with the antibiotics I needed. The whole team took amazing care of me, and I left very happy!"

As a healthcare professional myself this was such an amazing experience! From beginning to end I was treated like healthcare workers should treat patients. I was treated with compassion, empathy and of course professionalism. They were nice and had humor. They complimented me on my perfume and I love that! My boyfriend accompanied me on my visit and we were both very pleased. Thank you to the Sandy Springs healthcare team! The PA and my Ma were just lovely and very knowledgeable πŸ’•

I had an HS flare up. Dr. Birgit was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and performed my incision and drainage in a manner that made and kept me comfortable as the procedure was performed. Shoutout to my husband for holding my hand and shout out to Dr. B for a job well done.

I had a great experience at the urgent care thanks to Michala. She was kind, patient, and extremely professional from start to finish. You can tell she really cares about her patients. She listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt comfortable the whole time. It’s rare to meet someone in healthcare who shows so much compassion and respect. Michala went above and beyond, and I truly appreciate the level of care she provided. If you visit this urgent care, you’ll be in good hands with her. Highly recommended!
